The High School includes a broad academic program designed to meet the graduation requirements of US schools, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Ministry of Education in Spain. The 9th and 10th grade programs include typical US curriculum subjects along with options to take courses in Castellano, Catalan, and Spanish Social Studies. There are also elective courses in the arts and technology. 11th and 12th grade students fulfill US diploma requirements and may choose to study either the IB Diploma Program and/or complete requirements for co-validation of the Spanish Bachillerato.
Our experienced teaching staff provide students with academically challenging classes, directed towards individual and group success. The high academic standards of our curriculum have proven successful in helping virtually all of our graduates to enter the university of their choice. To this end, our knowledgeable and experienced college counselors orient students as they prepare applications for both local and international universities.
Equally important in our High School is the atmosphere of community and working together to achieve common goals. Our students participate in an active Student Council that promotes community service and school spirit. Our team sports and Model United Nations programs have taken our students around the globe as ASB representatives. Both our local community service program and the IB CAS program have given our students many diverse opportunities to support community efforts both locally and globally.
The success of our High School has always been the individualized attention given to students. There is a mutual feeling that students and teachers are working together to reach common goals: graduation, global understanding and a better world.
