The American School of Barcelona is an international private school from PK3 to 12th Grade. ASB offers a university preparatory curriculum, including the IB Diploma Program, which provides its graduates access to American, Spanish and International universities.
21-05-2015 The ASB High School Student Council has been fundraising for earthquake relief and recovery efforts in Nepal. People who donated money decorated bricks to "build a wall to help Nepal." Due to the Student Council's fundraising campaign and a very generous community, we will be donating 1300€ to UNICEF. UNICEF is focusing on supporting children and their families who were affected by the earthquake, through provision of essentials including medical supplies and safe drinking water. 04-05-2015 The Feed the Future event in collaboration with IESE Business School was a great success. The school raised over 6,000 Euros for Mary´s Meals and this will help the organization to sponsor a school for an entire year in Malawi. 30-04-2015 The American School of Barcelona standardized test scores rose again on the 2015 International School Assessment (ISA) tests. This tests compares international schools around the globe in grades 3 through 9. ASB scores significantly higher than similar international schools in the areas of Reading and Writing. In addition, the school in the last two years has progressed in mathematics to being slightly above similar international schools or on par with them. These scores support the sense of the academic transformation we feel within our campus. read more
22-04-2015 During April 16th, 17th, and 18th our girls and boys soccer teams participated in the Atlantic Mediterranean Activities Conference (AMAC) soccer tournament, which was hosted in Catalonia. Our girls placed second after losing in the finals to Cairo American School. Our boys placed fourth after losing a tight semi-final match to the Carlucci American School of Lisbon. On the same weekend, our 10-12 year old boys soccer team finished in 3rd place in the annual Barcelona Volkswagen Soccer Tournament. Our Marc Fuster was elected Most Valuable Player (MVP)...read more
17-04-2015 Our students from 1st to 8th grade are creating their decorated spoons for "Feed the Future" and the High School Executive Team of students is organizing the logistics; waiters, publicity, musicians, and program of events. All profits will be donated to Mary's Meals, an organization that sets up school feeding programs where hunger prevents children from going to school.
